Salvia officinalis, also known as "lavender-leaved sage," grows in the Spanish mountains. The essential oil is steam distilled in Spain from evergreen shrubs similar to garden sage, but with small purple flowers and narrow leaves. Its name comes from the Latin "salvare," which means heal and to the Spanish, Salvia officinalis is known as a "cure all" and is believed to bring about longevity and protection. A fresh, warm, spicy, and herbaceous aroma, our Spanish Sage will leave a memorable mark.
