
Lemongrass Essential Oil
Cymbopogon citratus from the Poaceae family. Lemongrass is a reed-like aromatic grass that is cultivated in South America and Asia. It can be up to 10 ft. high, with coarse reed-like leaves and a strong citrus aroma, often used in Vietnamese and Asian food. The essential oil is used in perfumery of which there are two kinds - West Indian and East Indian. We use the East Indian because it is more lemony, sweet and potent.
